Taste of Scotland - Luxury Golf Tour of Scotland 2009

Have you ever considered a golf tour to Scotland that includes our other favourite "pastime" - drinking whisky. With our "Taste of Scotland Tour", Golf Scotland are delighted to announce that playing golf and sampling whisky makes for a never-to-be forgotten trip.

Since the 15th century, besides developing the game of golf, the Scots have been busy developing a huge range of fine whiskies. After playing a historic links golf course, you will find a warm welcome at one of the many distilleries.

The whisky industry is based upon two products, single malt whisky and blended whisky (a blend of grain whisky and malt whisky). Malt whisky accounts for only about 10% of the market but is available in a fantastic range of distinctive tastes. They are classified in regional groups, Lowland, Islay, Highland and Speyside. The largest production area is Speyside, a sub classification of Highland and well set up for visitors including its famous "Whisky Trail".

Cardhu, Dallas Dhu, Glenfarcus, Glenfiddich, Glen Grant, The Glenlivet, Strathisla & Tamnavulin Distilleries are all on the famous "whisky trail" with excellent visitor facilities.

Golf Scotland specialize in golf tours of Scotland, providing a range of golf travel packages to suit all specifications and budgets. Taste of Scotland is a luxury golf tour of Scotland that combines some of the best Scottish golf courses with visits to Scotland's famous "whisky trail".
